At the beginning of this year I made a personal mission to be able to drink Whiskey cold, hold the rocks.
For one simple reason, Robin Scherbatsky, symbolizes the kind of character of women I’ve come to know who enjoy a good drink of whiskey. They have an edge over the regular wine drinkers (who can be found in virtually every restaurant), or beer consumers. There’s a class in drinking whiskey without developing a twitch.
So with a bottle hovering around thanks to this cake, I have delved into developing my taste for the fine drink that is whiskey.
Now if you are a visual person than Instagram would rate highly into your daily schedule. Turn alarm off. Open eyes. Check emails. Scroll through the Insta feed, hearting what appeals in half awake state. And than it would be one of the last things before closing eyes for the day.
Yes, Instagram is a veritable gold mine of visual delights to inspire and keep you up-to-date with friends’ lives. It is also a constant place of food inspiration from the many food sites, bloggers and general eaters who capture edible things.
So when this drink came up on my feed a few weeks ago from Food Republic, I instantly wanted to give it a go. And the beauty of this recipe…is that its super simple.

2 shots whiskey (or 4 if you’re bold)
1 cup ginger beer
Limes and mint to garnish
Place the whiskey, ginger beer, ice in serving glasses.
Finish with sliced limes and a dash of fresh mint.
Note: You may need more ginger beer depending on your glass size.
