July 2015 – Saw/Ate/Read

So July is done and it went in grand fashion while I was returning from my first day of Lollapalooza. That night Paul McCartney performed for two hours in what has surely made both my parents jealous. This festival has been something I have wanted to attend for easily five years and this time I made it making the experience that much more surreal.

How was your July? Was it filled with warm memories of summer and lots of ice cream? The idea of August is also something that seems a little unreal as this month will bring further travel and being reunited with one of the most important people in my life, someone I’ve not seen since Dallas.

Here is my July:

The recipe I couldn’t get enough of this month was the Blueberry Bundt Cake from Hummingbird bakery, this cake is light and fruity. Perfect for an event or simply to snack on a casual Saturday afternoon.

Blog Love this month goes to The First Mess and her Morraccan-ish Sweet Potato Sunshine Salad, with a name like that how could this not taste amazing!

The food obsession this month was obviously salad with Lemon Fire Brigade’s fruity Greek Salad.

If you like the great outdoors, but don’t love camping, Outside magazine has you covered with these Upscale Camping options for any budget.

USA Today went on a trip around the globe to see other countries barbecue.

There’s nothing like a little ice cream on your wall to get the cravings for that delight going, especially when its so hot out!
