Nam Thang Mo - Watermelon Juice recipe only has four ingredients and one is ice which just shows how incredibly simple yet refreshing this drink is. The frist time trying this was on Ko Phi Phi on a hot day.

We took our drinks and sat on the beach overlooking a small inlet with boats docked against this pristine shoreline with a view that stretched as far as the eye could see of the type of landscape you'd imagine seeing when visiting this beautiful country. The thing about Thailand is that the humidity is ever present and the only time you can’t tell it’s enveloping you constantly is whilst in a cold shower and so the street vendors selling fruit juices is always welcome.
Ingredients and substitutions for Watermelon Juice
- Watermelon: Fresh watermelon was used here, though you could use frozen watermelon and replace the ice with 125 milliliters or ½ cup water instead.
- Lime juice: Fresh is best here as it will have no additives and balances out the sweetness of the watermelon, though you can omit, if you prefer.

How to make Watermelon Juice:
Blend: Blend all ingredients until smooth.

FAQ's for the best Watermelon Juice
You can make it ahead, however, the longer the juice sits out the more it will separate, so you will need to stir to combine before serving. You'll also potentially need to add more ice for it to cool you down.

Ingredients
- 500 grams / 1 pound watermelon flesh
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh
- 14 grams / 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- Place the watermelon, ice, lime juice and sugar into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain into a pouring jug.
- Pour into serving glasses.
- Enjoy immediately.
