Ingredients and substitutions for Thai Ice Tea
- Tea: Plain black tea is traditionally used here, though you could use a less traditional breakfast or earl gray tea for a twist, if you prefer.
- Sweetened condensed milk: Full fat condensed milk doesn’t just add sweetness but also helps balance out the flavors in the tea.

- 28 grams / 2 tablespoons superfine/caster sugar
- 76 grams / ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
- Ice to serve
Instructions

- Let steep until cold.
- Remove the tea bags and add the sweetened condensed milk. Stir until well combined.
- Pour into serving glasses, add plenty of crushed ice.

Notes
- Speed up cooling of the tea: One way you could speed up the process of cooling the tea is to sit the jug in ice while the tea steeps cooling it faster, but still allowing the tea bags to fully infuse.
